Southwestern University has received new first-class instruments for the 2022-2023 academic year and resources for the Music Department through a generous gift from the Rockley Family Foundation! We are thrilled to continue to make these new instruments available to our students. As part of this partnership, pianos, digital pianos, violins, violas and cellos will be available for public purchase Thursday-Saturday, January 11-13, 2024 in the Alma Thomas Fine Arts Center. Featured in this event are instruments provided to other institutions by the Rockley Family Foundation but do not include any from Southwestern’s previously donated and purchased collection.

A large selection of grands, baby grands, Diskavier pianos, vertical (upright) pianos, hybrid pianos, digital pianos, violins, violas and cellos will be available. This event will feature starter to professional level instruments from Yamaha, Seiler, Pramberger, Stravari Fine Violins, a discrete selection of vintage Steinway & Sons pianos, and many others. Most instruments are less than one-year old, include a new factory warranty, are tuned, and ready to play. Delivery and special no-interest financing is available on site and, in most cases, a substantial portion of your purchase could be considered as a tax-deductible charitable contribution.*
