The El Sistema Colorado mission is to empower children by providing an intensive music program that teaches the importance of teamwork, promotes self-confidence, and instills the value of social responsibility.
The Rockley Family Foundation believes in the important work of El Sistema Colorado and recently donated $6,000 worth of strings, reeds and other musical instrument accessories and $5,000 worth of print music to support music education through their work.
In a recent email newsletter, El Sistema expressed gratitude for these donations, “The staff and students of El Sistema Colorado would like to extend our deepest gratitude to Rockley Family Foundation, led by President and Director Tobin Rockley, who recently donated a multitude of strings, instrumental supplies, and music books to aid in our programming. Rockley Family Foundation was founded in 2009 with the purpose of supporting music education through donations and scholarships to students in need. Thank you for your generosity, Rockley Family Foundation!”
Tobin Rockley was able to visit the program and see the Foundation’s support in action. “We are very pleased to be able to help this great organization and look forward to offering additional support in the future,” said Rockley.
